Sample solution: Reorder items from stock
Industrial Ltd. stocks articles from the company Miller, which are reordered several times a month. For this, the warehouse clerk walks the rows of shelves noting the respective article numbers and designations to a form, which he will hand over to his purchasing department. The purchasing department creates the order and sends it to Miller using a fax machine. Unfortunately, many errors can happen this way, which are required to be clarified by phone.
The warehouse clerk has a keychain USB scanner he carries when walking the warehouse, reading the labels of the items in question. After the tour, the scanner is connected to the PC and the order is transferred to the shopping cart of the shop. There it can be verified and supplemented before it is finally sent to Miller electronically.
